( Personality ) :
Kairi is a beacon of light, a pillar of support, and a driving force in the Kingdom Hearts series. That is her main role in the games, but it only tells a part of her personality.
Yes, she is supportive, and very kind. As a Princess of Heart, she has no darkness within her heart. It doesn’t make her perfect, but it does protect her from the ravages the darkness can cause inside someone’s heart. She is incorruptible, and that combined with her own innate strength and support, helps keep the darkness at bay for others around her.
Behind that kind smile is a girl that’s headstrong, determined, and sometimes very insightful. Although she’s only 15 years old, she handles herself well in the face of adversity and danger. Upon seeing Riku transformed into Heartless Ansem’s body, instead of freaking out, she took it in stride. Deep down, she knew it was her friend, and she was happy to see him again. Her lack of memory of her past doesn’t seem to bother her. Rather, she was happy just living her life on the islands with her friends. She’s composed and thoughtful, especially in the year following the events of Kingdom Hearts I.
When she sets her mind to something, she’ll see that it’s done. Whether it’s making a raft, finding her friends, or helping out, if she is set to do it, good luck stopping her. Stemming from that stubbornness is her dislike of being left behind. When she sees an opportunity to go look for Sora and Riku, she takes the chance. She jumps into a portal of darkness without second thought, and without any idea of where she’s going or how to protect herself. Subsequently, that determination backfires as she’s eventually kidnapped by Axel, and later Saix. When she’s told she’s “the fire that feeds Sora’s anger”, she panics and realizes what she’s inadvertently done. Her own stubbornness and wish to be with her friends, while well-intentioned, had put not only herself, but Sora and those around him in potential danger as they break into Organization XIII’s stronghold to save her.
The thoughts behind her actions are always well-meaning. It’s probably safe to say that she doesn’t have a malicious bone in her body. That doesn’t mean she doesn’t have any bite, though. She’ll chastise Sora for being lazy, and she’ll willingly fight when handed a weapon to get to her friends. In short, just because she’s nice doesn’t mean she’s docile. Quite the opposite, in her case.
But above all, Kairi is a brave soul. Although her brash actions have landed her in some trouble, it’s still admirable that she had the guts to go through with what she’s done and been through. She tore through a Heartless-infested Hollow Bastion, and threw herself over Heartless Sora to protect them, even though it (almost) meant certain death. She charged into a portal of darkness, unconcerned about her safety, to find Sora and Riku. Without any combat training, she took up a Keyblade and tore up some Heartless, and that was after jumping off a platform. Those are just a few of the things she’s done, and they serve as a testament to her courage.
( Strengths/Weaknesses ) :
Strengths:
+ Kairi has no darkness in her heart, making her immune to corruption by the darkness
+ She can swing a Keyblade around pretty good despite having no training
+Loyal to her friends
+ Won’t let her own weaknesses/shortcomings stop her from doing what needs to be done

Weaknesses:
- Stubborn to a fault
- Will rush into situations without thinking of the dangers to herself and possibly others
- She speaks her mind and her opinion, which, while usually are of good things, can be a little brash

( Other Important Facts ) :
Kairi is a Princess of Heart. Without the other six her main power is useless, but she does have the ability to sense darkness and keep it at bay, to an extent.
